The Great Lakes Comic-Con is happy to announce that we will be working with Reading is Fundamental for the Fall 2014 show.

RIF.ORG

RIF’s vision is a literate America in which all children have access to books and discover the joys and value of reading.  Their goal is to motivate young children to read by working with them, their parents, and community members to make reading a fun and beneficial part of everyday life. More information can be found on their web site:  http://www.rif.org.

The Great Lakes Comic-Con shares many of the same goals!  Comic books are a great way to get children to read!  Just ask this show’s promoters… access to comic books helped each of us to learn early reading skills in our childhood!
